Player Mods Enhance Game Experience

Following its Steam release, Stellar Blade will continue permitting user modifications - including mature content. ShiftUp CEO and Game Director Hyung-tae Kim views modding as expanding player experiences when used appropriately. In a June 14 interview with This Is Game, Kim emphasized: "We support creative expression provided it doesn't compromise game integrity through hacking or system interference."

Technical Director Dong-gi Lee cautioned players about potential technical issues: "Since mods undergo no official testing, we recommend reverting to original files if gameplay problems emerge."

Regarding adult modifications, Kim stressed creative freedom: "Our M-rated game shouldn't police mature players' choices. Owners should explore the creative culture as they see fit." He added, "We trust players will exercise social responsibility while enjoying their ownership rights."

The director elaborated on intellectual property considerations: "Post-purchase, players control their experience. While we'd intervene against public harm, we believe in community self-regulation for most cases."

Planned Expansion Evolves Into Sequel

During ShiftUp's May 16 investor presentation, the studio revealed a sequel timeline targeting pre-2027 release. Kim confirmed development focus remains on the PC version, explaining: "Originally planned DLC content expanded beyond scope, becoming its own title."

He acknowledged narrative shortcomings: "Our gameplay focus outpaced story development. For the sequel, we're improving storytelling while maintaining action excellence."

Stellar Blade's PC release achieved remarkable success with over 192,000 concurrent Steam players and "Very Positive" reviews. Game8 awarded the PC version 90/100, praising visual enhancements, additional content, and global accessibility through region-lock removal.
