The ID@Xbox Showcase unveiled a new trailer for the eagerly awaited Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. Excitingly, the game will launch day-and-date on Xbox Game Pass, slated for release before year's end.
Developed by Digital Sun and published by 11 bit studios, this isometric action-adventure RPG incorporates roguelike elements. Players will expand their humble shop into a thriving business by exploring challenging dungeons, battling formidable monsters, and acquiring valuable artifacts.
Digital Sun promises a significant expansion upon the original Moonlighter, boasting richer storytelling and refined gameplay. The narrative follows Will's quest to return to his home dimension within the vast world of Trense. His journey involves reconnecting with familiar faces and forging alliances with new allies, all while pursuing a mysterious merchant's request to locate powerful relics that hold the key to his homecoming.
The game's soundtrack is composed by the celebrated Chris Larkin, renowned for his work on Hollow Knight. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is set to launch on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 later this year.
