Ubisoft brings the hype to Assassin's Creed Shadows… sort of

Ubisoft's next big release, Assassin's Creed Shadows, drops next Thursday, and its performance could significantly impact the company's future. A new video, curiously labeled a "TV commercial," was recently uploaded to Ubisoft's official YouTube channel. While the video itself is undeniably impressive—smooth, cinematic, and visually stunning—its placement raises eyebrows. The decision to promote the game primarily through traditional media, and then upload the TV ad to YouTube, feels somewhat unconventional and doesn't entirely inspire confidence.

However, speculation aside, the video effectively highlights the distinct gameplay and fighting styles of the two protagonists. The depiction of Japan is breathtaking, but a one-minute cinematic can only offer a limited glimpse. Ultimately, the true measure of Assassin's Creed Shadows will only be known upon its release.
