Mattel163 enhances accessibility in its mobile card games with the "Beyond Colors" update. This update introduces colorblind-friendly decks to Phase 10: World Tour, Uno! Mobile, and Skip-Bo Mobile.
Instead of relying on traditional color cues, the new decks utilize distinct shapes—squares, triangles, circles, and stars—to represent the colors, ensuring clear differentiation for players with color vision deficiencies.
This initiative, developed in collaboration with colorblind gamers, aims to broaden inclusivity. The consistent shape system across all three games simplifies the learning curve. Mattel163 has committed to making 80% of its game portfolio colorblind-accessible by 2025.
Enabling the Beyond Colors deck is straightforward: access in-game account settings via your avatar and select the new deck theme.
The games themselves offer familiar gameplay: Uno! Mobile presents the classic card-discarding challenge; Phase 10: World Tour focuses on completing phases; and Skip-Bo Mobile provides a unique solitaire experience.
Download Uno! Mobile, Skip-Bo Mobile, and Phase 10: World Tour from the App Store and Google Play. For more information on Mattel163 and the Beyond Colors update, visit their official website or Facebook page.
