Get ready, Call of Duty fans! It looks like the highly anticipated return of Verdansk to Warzone is finally happening on March 10th. Activision initially teased Verdansk's comeback last August, promising a spring 2025 release, but now a countdown timer on the Call of Duty shop points directly to March 10th, 2025 (thanks to InsiderGaming for the heads-up).
A simple, yet evocative image accompanies the countdown: a snowy alpine scene featuring a dam, pine trees, and a crashed plane— instantly recognizable to veteran Warzone players who remember the original Verdansk map before its replacement with Verdansk '84 and then Caldera. Currently, the only way to experience this classic map is through Call of Duty Warzone Mobile.
This news is a huge win for players who were disheartened by the 2021 announcement that the original Verdansk was gone for good.

Meanwhile, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 2 has launched, bringing five new multiplayer maps (Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind), the return of Gun Game mode, new weapons, operators, and a pricey Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover. Warzone, however, received less content than initially planned as the development team focuses on addressing critical issues, including gameplay balancing, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements.
