New Xbox Game Pass Game Confirmed for January 21

Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup Bolstered by Day One Releases

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are in for a treat in January 2025, with a strong wave of new titles joining the service, particularly in the latter half of the month. Initially, January's offerings seemed sparse, with most changes involving tier shifts rather than significant additions. However, the second half of the month more than makes up for it.

Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a co-op and PvP skiing game, leads the charge as a day-one release on January 21st. This follows the established pattern of day-one games being exclusive to the Ultimate tier initially.

The January 2025 Game Pass lineup includes:

  • Carrion: January 2nd
  • Road 96: January 7th
  • Diablo: January 14th
  • EA Sports UFC 3: January 14th
  • Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders: January 21st
  • Eternal Strands: January 28th
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance: January 30th
  • Citizen Sleeper 2: January 31st

Beyond Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, three more day-one titles enhance the latter half of January: Eternal Strands (January 28th), Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th), and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st). Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game with a distinct Zelda feel, is particularly noteworthy.

February 2025's Game Pass lineup remains largely unannounced, though Avowed is confirmed for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on February 18th. Until then, Ultimate subscribers can enjoy the robust selection of day-one games arriving in January.
