A recent ESRB rating for Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom offers a sneak peek at Princess Zelda's debut as the main protagonist, launching this September.

The ESRB listing confirms players will control both Zelda and Link. As Zelda, you'll embark on a quest to seal rifts across Hyrule and rescue Link. Gameplay involves using a magic wand to summon creatures like wind-up knights, pig soldiers, and slimes for combat. Link, meanwhile, will utilize his classic sword and arrows to defeat enemies. The ESRB rating is E 10+, and the game is free of microtransactions.

This marks a significant milestone for the Zelda series, giving Princess Zelda her first starring role. Since its announcement, Echoes of Wisdom has rapidly become one of the most anticipated titles from the recent summer showcases. While both characters are playable, the extent of Link's role remains a mystery.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is set for release on September 26, 2024.

Hyrule Edition Switch Lite: Pre-orders Open!

To celebrate the game's launch, Nintendo is releasing a special Hyrule Edition Switch Lite, available for pre-order now. This golden-colored console features the Hyrule crest and a Triforce symbol. While the game itself isn't included, the console comes bundled with a 12-month individual Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription for $49.99.
