Old School RuneScape

Immerse yourself in an open-world fantasy MMORPG. Experience a retro sandbox RPG filled with epic quests, PVE, and PVP battles.

Old School RuneScape brings back the classic RuneScape experience you remember. Launched in 2013, it faithfully recreates the 2007 version of the game. It stands as the only MMORPG where players directly influence development, with the team introducing regular new content based on community votes.

As the world's largest and most popular MMORPG, Old School RuneScape has been enjoyed by over 300 million players since RuneScape's original 2001 debut. It masterfully blends the complex mechanics of modern MMOs with the nostalgic point-and-click style of early RPGs.

FIGHT EPIC BOSSES

Take on three incredible raiding experiences: the Chambers of Xeric, the Theatre of Blood, and the Tombs of Amascut. Face undead dragons, volcanic horrors, and ruthless vampyres—all who dare to seek their legendary rewards.

CROSS-PLATFORM GAMEPLAY

COMMUNITY LED

In Old School RuneScape, players decide which new content gets added. If a proposal receives 70% or more approval from the community, the developers will implement it into the game.

Since its 2013 release, over 2,800 questions have been put to a player vote. That means players have directly shaped the game through more than 2,800 collective decisions.
