Samsung Notes

Samsung Notes lets you create, edit, and collaborate on documents.

Create and edit your documents across mobile, tablet, or PC and work together with others seamlessly.

Annotate PDFs with the S Pen and craft documents enriched with images or voice recordings.

It also integrates with various apps like PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint to connect your documents.

Create a new note.

Tap the + button in the bottom right corner of the main screen to start a fresh note.

New notes will be saved with the "sdocx" file extension.

Secure your notes.

1. On the main screen, tap More Options in the top right, go to Settings, and select Lock Note.

Then, choose a locking method and set a password.

2. To lock a specific note, open it, tap More Options, and select Lock Note.

Make handwritten notes.

While editing a note, tap the Handwriting icon to write directly onto the note with your stylus or finger.

Insert photos.

In your note, tap the photo icon to capture a new picture. You can also load, tag, and edit existing photos.

Include a voice recording.

Tap the Voice Recording icon while writing to record audio and create a note with sound.

Explore various writing tools.

Tap the Pen icon in a note to select from tools like pens, fountain pens, pencils, and highlighters, with options for color and thickness.

Tap the Eraser icon to select and remove any unwanted content.

Import notes and memos.

Use the Smart Switch feature to bring in data from S Note and Memo saved on other devices.

You can also import previously created notes and memos via your Samsung account.

• Storage: Saves and loads your document files.

Optional permissions

• Photos and videos: Adds pictures and videos to your notes.

• Notifications: Alerts you about shared note invitations, sync issues, and other updates.

• Music and audio: Adds audio to your notes.

• Phone: Checks for available app updates.

• Microphone: Adds voice recordings to your notes.

• Camera: Adds pictures and scanned documents to your notes.

The app's core features are still accessible without granting the optional permissions.
