BioWare shared the news on Twitter (X), expressing excitement to share this milestone with fans. They also teased a series of upcoming reveals to build anticipation: "High-level warrior combat gameplay, Companions Week, and more are coming soon!" Here's the planned reveal schedule:

A Decade of Development

The journey to bring Dragon Age: The Veilguard to life has been extensive, marked by significant delays spanning nearly a decade. Development started in 2015 after Dragon Age: Inquisition, but shifted focus to Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem, impacting resources and timeline. Initial design changes also led to a complete development halt.

The project was revived in 2018 under the codename "Morrison." After further development, it was officially announced as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2022 before settling on its current title.

Despite the challenges, the wait is nearly over. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is launching this fall on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Prepare for your return to Thedas!
