HOW DOES IT WORK?

It’s simple!

Step 1: Download the app for free and set up your profile.

Step 2: Enter the dates of your stay in the European Union.

Step 3: When shopping, request a “VAT invoice made out to ZappTax” from the merchant. Photograph your invoices and upload them directly to the app or email them to [email protected].

Step 4: At the end of your trip, click to automatically generate your tax-free forms. You will receive one or more refund documents detailing all your purchases.

Step 5: Electronically validate your tax refund forms at customs before departing the EU by scanning the form barcode at a self-service kiosk (PABLO device in France and DIVA in Spain) or by showing your passport to a customs agent in Belgium.

And that’s all! ZappTax will process your refund and pay you via your chosen method.
