During the interview, Schneider reflected on the 2016 Ratchet and Clank film, which, despite receiving mixed reviews, sparked interest in further adaptations. "I think back to the Ratchet and Clank film from several years ago. And we kind of got an early start on that. So, of course, we’re interested in that kind of thing. We love Ratchet and Clank in particular," Schneider stated. With Insomniac Games now under the Sony umbrella since 2019, the studio feels confident about their prospects, leveraging Sony's successful track record with game adaptations, notably the critically acclaimed The Last of Us series.

Sony is also developing a Helldivers feature film and a Horizon Zero Dawn live-action film, though specific release dates have yet to be announced.

Concurrent with the discussions on future adaptations, Ted Price, the founder and CEO of Insomniac Games, announced his retirement after a remarkable 30-year tenure. Under Price's leadership, Insomniac has crafted iconic franchises such as "Spyro the Dragon," "Ratchet & Clank," and "Marvel’s Spider-Man." Reflecting on his decision, Price shared, "I actually made this decision last year. For me, after over 30 years of leading Insomniac, I felt it was simply time to step aside and let others pave the way for our team."

The leadership reins will be taken over by three seasoned Insomniac veterans, Ryan Schneider, Chad Dezern, and Jen Huang, who will serve as Co-Studio Heads. Price expressed confidence in the new leadership, stating, "I believe strongly that for us to continue our success, we need leaders at the top who are intimately familiar with how we do things, leaders who have helped build our culture and our processes, and who have earned people’s trust."
