Alphadia III, the latest entry in the renowned series, has officially launched globally on Android today. Developed by EXE CREATE and published by KEMCO, it first debuted in Japan in October of the previous year. This third installment continues the saga with a compelling narrative and engaging gameplay.
What’s the Story in Alphadia III?
Set in the year 970 of the Alphadian calendar, Alphadia III thrusts players into the climactic phase of the Energi War, a monumental struggle over the enigmatic life force known as energi. The world is divided among three major powers: the Schwarzschild Empire to the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom to the west, and the Luminea Alliance to the east, each vying for control.
Amidst the chaos, a clone soldier named Alfonso takes center stage. The story ignites when a girl named Tarte arrives with news of a fellow clone's death, setting Alfonso on a transformative journey.
What’s the Gameplay Like?
Alphadia III retains the series' beloved turn-based combat system, presented in a side-view format with charming pixel art. Players can utilize SP Skills, which charge during battles and can dramatically shift the tide of combat when deployed strategically.
The game introduces Arrays, tactical battle formations that unlock progressively and offer varied strategies to tackle different adversaries. Another novel feature is the Energi Crock, where players can deposit surplus items. Over time, the Crock generates Energi Elements, which can be traded for equipment and other rewards at exchange shops.
Throughout your adventure, you'll encounter various groups, including the peacekeeping alliance Deval and the elite military unit Rosenkreutz from Nordsheim. Additionally, you'll come across different energi clone models, such as the Berger Series from Nordsheim and the Delta Series from Schwarzschild.
Beyond the main storyline, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content and is optimized for controller use. You can purchase the game for $7.99 on the Google Play Store, or opt for the freemium version, which includes ads.
