Just one month following its launch, including its inclusion on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released a celebratory trailer for Avowed. This video features curated reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, underscoring the warm reception of this action-RPG.
The latest update introduces DLSS 4 support, incorporating Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These enhancements significantly boost performance, with NVIDIA reporting frame rates that can triple at maximum 4K settings, hitting up to 340 FPS. The developers have also hinted at forthcoming announcements regarding the game's future updates and roadmap in the coming weeks.
This update goes beyond technical enhancements by improving the player experience. Players will now gain an extra talent point every five levels, and those who have already advanced in the game will receive these points automatically upon loading. Keyboard and mouse players can now switch between walking and running, and a new accessibility feature increases font sizes for in-game text, documents, and guides.
While Avowed didn't render critics entirely speechless, it has nonetheless received robust reviews. Digital Foundry hailed the game as a technical "triumph," cementing its status as a notable achievement from Obsidian.
