Larian Studios, creators of Divinity: Original Sin, announced Baldur’s Gate 3 at Google’s Stadia Connect event. This continues the classic Baldur’s Gate series, originally launched by BioWare in 1998.

Following its announcement, Baldur’s Gate 3 entered early access on Steam, GOG, and Google Stadia. The early access release included the first act, a customizable character, and five playable origin characters: Astarion, Gale, Lae'zel, Shadowheart, and Wyll.
