Speaking of saving beasts from poachers, many players do not know they can rename the beasts they rescue. While this might be a tiny detail that may not have been difficult to incorporate into Hogwarts Legacy, it makes the game more personal for players who want to increase their immersion. Since many players do not know how to give nicknames to beasts they rescue, this guide will illustrate how to do so.

Steps For Nicknaming Beasts In Hogwarts Legacy

If you want to give nicknames to beasts you rescued in Hogwarts Legacy, here is what you need to do:

  1. Make your way to the Vivarium in the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts Castle.
  2. First and foremost, you must have the beast in front of you. You must summon the beast via the Beast Inventory menu if it is in your inventory.
  3. Once the beast is in front of you, interact with it. Doing so will give you overall information about the beast’s wellbeing.
  4. This menu will also have an option to rename your beast. Select Rename.
  5. Now, type a nickname and select Confirm.
  6. You can view the nickname for your beast when you get near it and interact with it.

Now that you know how to give nicknames to beasts you have rescued, make the most of this information. One of the biggest advantages of renaming beasts is that you will find it incredibly easy to manage them. This makes even more sense if you want to find an easy way to track and monitor rare beasts.

What is interesting about renaming beasts in Hogwarts Legacy is that you can rename beasts as many times as you like without any restrictions. Having beasts with unique names gives players a sense of ownership over their beasts, giving them yet another customization feature that they were not aware of before.
