How to Unlock 'Under the Straw Hat' in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Before embarking on "Under the Straw Hat," you must first initiate the "In Vino Veritas" side quest, which unfolds in Kuttenberg. Upon arrival, seek out Casper Rudolf on the west side of the city, where he's offering free wine samples. Casper tasks you with gathering information to refine his wine.

You have two paths to gather the necessary wine knowledge. You can directly approach Havel and impress him with your wine expertise, or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta and study it for deeper insights. If you choose to meet Havel immediately, ensure you're dressed in fine attire and well-groomed. When conversing with Havel, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It’s missing ginger" as your responses to extract the vital information. Relay your findings back to Casper.

Access the Vineyard

Next, Casper enlists you to infiltrate a vineyard north of Kuttenberg to learn more about the incense Havel mentioned. Avoid trespassing by sticking to the main road into the vineyard and engaging with the recruiter, who will introduce you to the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Continue along the road, passing a guard, until you encounter Jerome on a bench. Inform Jerome that you've been instructed to report there, and he'll brief you on your vineyard duties.

Working at the Vineyard

Your vineyard job commences the following day. After a night's rest, return to the vineyard in the morning. To earn payment, you'll need to move sacks to their designated spots and harvest plants like Thistle around the vines. However, if you're focused on the secret incense, head straight to the wine cellar in the main building, located downstairs from where you met Jerome. Accessing the cellar requires either a lockpick or the keys you can steal from Jerome.

In the cellar, locate a chest and collect all the Sulphur Wicks inside to fulfill the main objective. Optionally, gather seedlings from a door across the main building for an enhanced reward. Be swift, as these areas remain restricted even to workers, and getting caught could lead to punishment.

If you opt to complete your assigned tasks, report to Jerome at day's end to collect your pay. Alternatively, return to Casper with the Sulphur Wicks and, if you collected them, the seedlings.

By following these steps, you'll successfully complete both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, paving the way for further adventures like "Master Schindel’s Toys."
