Dead Cells Mobile's final free updates delayed, arriving February 18th, 2025

Playdigious has announced a delay for the final two free Dead Cells updates on mobile. However, the good news is that "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near" now have a confirmed release date: February 18th, 2025.

These updates, already released on console and PC, will introduce significant new content:

Clean Cut:

  • Two new weapons: Sewing Scissors (Survival focus) and Giant Comb (Brutality focus).
  • A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allowing customization of your character's head appearance.
  • Additional content.

The End is Near:

  • New enemies: Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer.
  • New skills and colorless mutations, including Demonic Strength (30% damage boost when cursed, plus 1% per curse stack).

A fitting conclusion

Playdigious deserves commendation for consistently providing free content to Dead Cells players. While the end of these free updates was initially met with some disappointment, the extensive additions justify the studio's decision to focus on future projects.

Both updates will launch simultaneously on February 18th, 2025, for Android and iOS. New players are encouraged to consult a Dead Cells weapon tier list to prepare for the challenging gameplay.
