State of Decay 3 Delayed: Release Projected Beyond 2026

Xbox insider Jez Corden, in a recent Xbox Two podcast, hinted at a later-than-expected release for State of Decay 3, projecting a 2026 launch.

Undead Labs, the game's developer, initially aimed for a 2025 release, but this timeline has reportedly shifted. Corden suggests an early 2026 launch is now more likely.

While Corden notes the game's development is more advanced than publicly perceived, he offered no further specifics.

This news may disappoint fans, though it's a more positive outlook than previous speculation pointing to a 2027 release.

The latest trailer (June 2024) showcased intense zombie gunfights and Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic vehicles.

The game's narrative unfolds years after the apocalypse, focusing on human survivors establishing and defending settlements against the undead.

State of Decay 3 is slated for release on PC and Xbox Series consoles; its predecessor launched in 2018.
