Eko Software and NACON have launched an enticing demo for their thrilling action RPG, Dragonkin: The Banished, and unveiled an expansive roadmap for its early access phase. The early access version, launching on March 6, 2025, will include the prologue and first chapter, allowing players to dive into the game's rich narrative through the perspectives of three distinct heroes: the Knight, the Oracle, and the Barbarian. This version also introduces four Vermplings—cooperative companions that join players in battle—as well as the innovative Bloodline Grid skill progression system, endgame hunting quests, and initial upgrades for the central hub city. The demo is currently available and will run until March 3, 2025, as part of Steam Next Fest.
The development team has set forth ambitious plans for the coming year. Spring updates will bring new abilities, enhanced endgame content, a new endgame activity, and improved hub city features. As summer approaches, players can expect the introduction of a new hero, additional skills, and expanded endgame challenges. By autumn, the game will incorporate multiplayer support, accompanied by ongoing refinements to the Bloodline Grid and hub city mechanics.
In Dragonkin: The Banished, players explore a world tainted by ancient dragon blood, guiding a legendary warrior on a mission to defeat sinister creatures emerging from the earth and confront the formidable Dragonlords who are orchestrating the chaos. Progression is driven by character growth, equipment upgrades, and Vermpling evolution, while the strategic Bloodline Grid system empowers players to tailor their abilities to their preferred playstyle.
Dragonkin: The Banished will launch in Steam Early Access on March 6, 2025, with a full release slated for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
