Performance Problems Add to the Frustration
Performance issues further exacerbated the negative sentiment. PC players reported frequent crashes, micro-stuttering, and frame rate limitations, even on high-end systems. Frame rates dipping below 30 FPS in crowded areas made the game nearly unplayable for some. Similar frame rate drops during intense moments were reported on PlayStation consoles.
The current Steam review score reflects this division, with a "Mixed" rating and 36% negative reviews. Metacritic shows a more favorable "Generally Favorable" rating of 8.3/10 (based on 570 user reviews), while Game8 awarded a 94/100 score. This disparity highlights the significant difference between critical and player reception.
