The Pokémon GO Fashion Week event is back, bringing a stylish new costumed Pokémon – Minccino and its evolution, Cinccino – along with returning favorites. This year's fashionable Pokémon sport dazzling rhinestone glasses and adorable bows.
When is Costume Minccino Available?
Costume Minccino and Cinccino debuted during Fashion Week 2025, running from January 10th to 19th, 2025. Interestingly, while Costume Minccino can be Shiny, its evolution, Costume Cinccino, cannot.
The event also features returning costumed Pokémon like Butterfree, Dragonite, Diglett, Blitzle, Kirlia, and Shinx, plus various Furfrou forms in the wild and Raids.
How to Catch Costume Minccino:
Unlike previous years, obtaining Costume Minccino requires a bit more effort. It's available through two methods:
One-Star Raids:
Costume Minccino appears in easily soloable One-Star Raids. However, One-Star Raids also feature Costume Shinx and Furfrou, so you might need to check several Gyms.
Paid Timed Research:
A $5 USD (or regional equivalent) Timed Research ticket guarantees an encounter with Costume Minccino, alongside XP, Stardust, a new avatar pose, and other event Pokémon.
Field Research:
While Field Research tasks offer encounters with event Pokémon, Niantic hasn't specified if Costume Minccino is among them. It's likely to be less reliable than the other methods.
Getting Costume Cinccino:
To obtain Costume Cinccino, you'll need to evolve your Costume Minccino using 50 Candies and a Unova Stone.
