Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Two weeks ahead of the PC launch, the revised specs emphasize the need for high-end graphics cards boasting 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay.
The game leverages DLSS upscaling, ShaderModel 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate for enhanced performance and visuals. This PC port arrives almost a year after the PS5 release, following a PS5 Pro enhancement patch that optimized the game for Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy 7 Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any DLC at this time; Square Enix is currently focused on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3.
Square Enix clarified previous PC spec suggestions, recommending a graphics card with 12-16GB VRAM for 4K users. Minimum requirements remain consistent with previous announcements, including a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. A multi-core CPU like the Ryzen 5 5600 or equivalent is recommended. Graphics card requirements specify an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or better (with ShaderModel 6.6 support and DirectX 12 Ultimate) due to DLSS implementation.
