As highlighted in their recent X (formerly Twitter) update, Hades 2 has been in early access since May 6, 2024. Developer Supergiant Games celebrated this milestone by expressing gratitude to the community for their unwavering support and indicating that they are making significant strides towards the game's full launch.

Their post states, "It's been incredibly exciting and enlightening as we've worked to fulfill the potential so many of you see in our game. We deeply appreciate your feedback and patience as we approach the finish line!"

The original Hades also followed a similar path, spending 22 months in early access before its complete release. However, Supergiant aims to bring Hades 2 to full release more swiftly, starting with a time-exclusive launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Launching First on the Nintendo Switch 2

During a segment of Nintendo’s Creator’s Voice video series, Supergiant announced that Hades 2 will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2. With the Switch 2 set to launch on June 5, enthusiasts can anticipate Hades 2 to be available shortly thereafter.

The game has already established itself as a beloved sequel to the acclaimed rogue-like, Hades. Supergiant Games noted that this marks their first venture into creating a sequel, a process filled with "a great deal of fear and respect."
