Infinity Nikki has rolled out compensation for the issues encountered with the release of version 1.5. Dive into the details to discover what players are receiving due to the game's shortcomings and what developer Infold Games plans to do moving forward.
Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Updates
Free Diamonds as Compensation
Infold Games launched version 1.5 of Infinity Nikki amid high expectations, but the update fell short of the promises made. On May 18, through a post on X (formerly Twitter), the developer addressed the issues and offered compensation for the "unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content."
The update introduced numerous technical issues and bugs across various platforms, making the game unplayable for some. Additionally, the cost to acquire 5-star outfits was increased from 9 or 10 pieces to 11 pieces, requiring up to 220 pulls to complete an outfit, significantly hiking the cost and effort needed.
A new dye system was also introduced, which players found confusing and cumbersome, necessitating the unlocking of color palettes for each clothing item. The Threads of Reunion storyline was removed from this update because the associated outfit is still in development. Infold Games stated, "Due to technical hurdles in Version 1.5, we were unable to properly refine the introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup for Threads of Reunion, which regrettably led to confusion."
In response to player feedback, Infold Games announced, "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive 120 Diamonds and 1 Energy Crystal every day from June 5 to June 12, totaling 960 Diamonds and 8 Energy Crystals."
Despite the acknowledgment and compensation, the studio has not yet detailed plans to address these issues. Fans have expressed their concerns in the comments, focusing on the changes to the pity system, the dye system's shortcomings, and other bugs.
Delayed Version 1.6
Due to the problematic release of version 1.5, Infold Games has decided to extend its duration to address the issues. Consequently, version 1.6 is delayed until June 12, 2025, impacting the schedule of in-game events.
The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, originally set for May 20, will now be introduced in version 1.6. Infold Games noted, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." Players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals as compensation for this delay.
More Unlisted Adjustments On The Way
Infold Games is actively working on addressing the myriad issues brought about by version 1.5. "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates," Infold explained.
To improve communication with the player base, they are launching the Miraland Round Table initiative. Players can voice their concerns and provide feedback directly to the developers by emailing the game’s official email account with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or through the in-game Customer Service option.
Infold Games expresses "guilt over delayed promises, yet gratitude for your unwavering support." They are committed to making the game "shine brighter than ever." Infinity Nikki is available on PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and PC. Stay updated with the latest news by checking out our article below!
