Today's reveal also highlights some unique features of the set, including Summons, which are part of Magic's innovative Saga creatures that players can summon for aid in battle, as exemplified by Summon: Shiva in the gallery. Additionally, the set brings back double-faced cards, with Cecil showcasing his dual nature as both a Dark Knight and a Redeemed Paladin.
The Final Fantasy set will boast over 100 legendary creature cards, including 55 legendary borderless cards, many of which are illustrated by beloved artists from the Final Fantasy series. This set is not only fully draftable but also Standard-legal, and it will be released alongside four preconstructed Commander decks. Each deck, themed around Final Fantasy games 6, 7, 10, and 14, will contain 100 cards, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing cards featuring new Final Fantasy art.
Mark your calendars—Magic: The Gathering's Final Fantasy set is set to launch on June 13, promising an immersive experience for fans of both franchises.
