Osmos is back on Google Play with a brand-new port after a brief absence

Osmos, the acclaimed cell-absorbing puzzle game, returns to Android! Previously removed due to playability issues stemming from outdated porting technology, it's back with a completely revamped version.

Remember the unique physics-based gameplay of Osmos? Absorb microorganisms, avoid being absorbed—a deceptively simple yet rewarding challenge. Hemisphere Games, the developer, explains in a blog post that the original Android port, created with Apportable, became unmaintainable after Apportable's closure. The game was subsequently removed from the store due to incompatibility with current (64-bit) Android systems. This new release features a completely rebuilt port, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
