Pokémon GO's Max Out Season: Dynamax Pokémon Arrive!

Get ready for gigantic Pokémon battles! Pokémon GO has officially confirmed the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon in its upcoming Max Out season. This exciting new feature brings a whole new level of gameplay.

Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th

The Max Out season kicks off September 10th at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until September 15th at 8:00 p.m. local time. Prepare for a week of oversized Pokémon action!

Dynamax Pokémon Debut!

The season introduces Dynamax versions of Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet, and Wooloo in 1-star Max Battles. Catch them, Dynamax your own, and even snag Shiny variants! Evolved forms of these Pokémon will also be capable of Dynamaxing. Special Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases will offer additional event-themed activities and rewards.

Special Research and Max Particles

A new Seasonal Special Research story will be available from September 3rd at 10:00 a.m. local time to December 3rd, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time. Complete the Max Battle-focused tasks to earn rewards, including valuable Max Particles and a new avatar item.

Max Particle Pack and Power Spot Rumors

A Max Particle Pack Bundle (4,800 Max Particles) will be available for $7.99 on the Pokémon GO web store starting September 8th at 6:00 p.m. PDT. These particles are crucial for Dynamax battles. Rumors also point to the arrival of Power Spots next month, offering dedicated locations for Max Battles and Max Particle collection.

Mega Evolution and Gigantamax Possibilities

Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla hinted that some Dynamax-capable Pokémon will also be able to Mega Evolve. While Gigantamax Pokémon remain unconfirmed for now, Niantic promises further details on Dynamax battles soon.
