Rainbow Six Siege X: what was presented in Atlanta

Rainbow Six Siege is celebrating its tenth year by ushering in a new era with the introduction of Siege X, a transformative update comparable to the shift from CS:GO to CS2. Scheduled for launch on June 10, Siege X will transition the game to a free-to-play model, opening its doors to a broader player base.

Key Changes in Siege X:

New Mode: Dual Front - Experience the thrill of a 6v6 match format that innovatively blends attack and defense operators. In Dual Front, teams strive to capture enemy zones and plant sabotage devices across a map divided into multiple strategic areas: three zones for each team and a central neutral zone. Players can respawn 30 seconds after being eliminated, adding a dynamic twist to the gameplay.

Advanced Rappel System - Elevate your tactical approach with an enhanced rappel system that now supports both vertical and horizontal movement, allowing for more creative and strategic plays.

Increased Environmental Destruction - The environment in Siege X becomes more interactive than ever. The trailer highlighted new destructible elements such as fire extinguishers and gas pipes, which can be detonated to gain a tactical advantage.

Reworks for Five Popular Maps - Five beloved maps are set to receive significant updates, refreshing the battlegrounds and enhancing the overall experience.

Graphical & Audio Enhancements - Ubisoft is not only focusing on gameplay but also on the sensory experience with a comprehensive upgrade to the game’s visuals and sound, promising a more immersive environment.

Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures - In response to community feedback, Ubisoft is doubling down on efforts to refine the anti-cheat system and address toxic behavior, aiming to create a fairer and more enjoyable gaming atmosphere.

In addition to these updates, Ubisoft has announced a closed beta for Siege X, set to begin within the next seven days. Players can gain access to this exclusive testing phase by watching Siege streams, offering a sneak peek into the future of Rainbow Six Siege.
