Star Wars Celebration has unveiled our first glimpse of Rory McCann stepping into the role of Baylan Skoll for Season 2 of Ahsoka. Previously portrayed by the late Ray Stevenson, who tragically passed away just three months before the premiere of the first season, Baylan Skoll was a standout character in the series.
While Rory McCann has yet to showcase his performance, the Ahsoka panel at Star Wars Celebration provided an exclusive first-look image, which you can view below.
Ray Stevenson, known for his roles in Thor, RRR, Punisher: War Zone, Rome, and more, left a lasting impact with his portrayal of Baylan. His unexpected departure due to a brief illness was a significant loss felt deeply by the Ahsoka team and fans alike.
Series creator Dave Filoni expressed the immense challenge of moving forward without Ray, noting that he was "the most beautiful person on screen and off." Despite this, Filoni and the team are pushing ahead with Season 2, revealing exciting details such as the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, alongside other beloved characters like Admiral Ackbar, Zeb, and Chopper.
