Get Ready for Sonic Mania! Sega Announces Major Mobile Game Updates Tied to Sonic the Hedgehog 3

With the highly anticipated release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 just around the corner, Sega is revving up excitement with a series of significant updates across its popular Sonic mobile game lineup. These updates, inspired by the upcoming film, will hit Sonic Dream Team, Sonic Dash, and Sonic Forces, available on various app stores.

First up, Sonic Forces receives a major boost on December 12th with the introduction of a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This thrilling addition features three challenging tracks where players can race as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other beloved characters. Fans are encouraged to conquer these levels before catching the film!

Next, on December 18th, Sonic Dream Team (Apple Arcade) gets a powerful upgrade with the addition of Shadow as a playable character, boasting a suite of brand-new abilities. Players can unlock Shadow by completing Tails’ Challenges. His signature Chaos Control and Chaos Shift powers allow for time manipulation, freezing foes and the environment to overcome obstacles.

This update also introduces exciting new powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost for all characters, plus exclusive upgrades like Double Chaos Shift for Shadow. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks are also included, along with a revamped tutorial for a smoother onboarding experience.

Rounding out the updates, Sonic Dash speeds into action on December 20th, offering players the chance to collect cards and unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic. Daily challenges provide additional rewards to keep the fun going. Sonic Dash+, on Apple Arcade, will receive its Shadow-themed update in January, adding even more content.
