Enhance Eve's festive look with a Santa Girl hairstyle and accessories like Snow Crystal Glasses, Wreath Earrings, and Sleigh Ear Cuffs.
Xion Refurbished For the Holidays and Features a Mini-Game
Xion, the last bastion of humanity, will be adorned with warm lights and holiday decorations in shades of red, green, and white. Key locations like The Last Gulp and Eve's camp will also embrace the festive ambiance, complete with seasonal BGM tracks like "Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away," offering a soothing backdrop to the holiday festivities.
A new mini-game will also be introduced in Xion. While specifics about the game and its rewards are still under wraps, it involves shooting targets on a festive drone, promising special rewards for Eve.
Turn On or Off Stellar Blade’s Seasonal Contents
The update introduces a convenient option to toggle seasonal events, including the Nier:Automata DLC. Navigate to the game's Settings, then to Gameplay, where you'll find the Seasonal Event Content option. Choose from:
- Auto - Automatically enables or disables seasonal content based on the current season
- Disable - Deactivates seasonal content, regardless of the season
- Enabled - Activates seasonal content, regardless of the season
This feature allows players to enjoy seasonal content at their leisure, though changing the setting will prompt a restart to the most recent save.
Mostly Well-Received, But Not Everyone Is Happy
Following the announcement on PlayStation's Twitter (X) on December 16, the community's reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. Fans playfully dubbed Eve "Christmas Eve," blending the holiday spirit with the protagonist's name. Many have also commended Shift Up for their consistent seasonal updates.
However, some players expressed reservations. One user noted, "I don’t mind at all but why does Stellar Blade have so many event updates? Just doesn’t seem like the type of game." Others were frustrated about the need to restart the game to experience the seasonal content.
Unlike games with multiplayer modes and extensive replayability, Stellar Blade is a single-player experience with a completion time of around 30 hours. This brevity means players must restart the game to fully engage with the seasonal updates, as there's limited content to explore post-story completion.
