Stellar Blade's highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC update unfortunately introduced several game-breaking glitches. However, developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix. Read on for details.
Stellar Blade Patch 1.009: Game-Breaking Bugs and the Upcoming Hotfix
Shift Up is addressing critical bugs in Stellar Blade's Patch 1.009. This update, while bringing the much-requested Photo Mode and NieR: Automata crossover, has resulted in softlocks for some players during a specific main quest. Others report crashes when using the selfie function in Photo Mode, and issues with new cosmetic items not rendering correctly.
The developers urge players to avoid attempting to force progress through the affected quest. Instead, they recommend waiting for the hotfix to prevent permanent softlocks.
NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements
Patch 1.009 delivers significant new content, including the exciting NieR: Automata collaboration. The developers highlight the inspiration drawn from NieR: Automata, emphasizing the collaborative spirit between Director Kim Hyung Tae and Director Yoko Taro. Players can find 11 exclusive collaboration items by locating Emil in the game world.
The addition of Photo Mode fulfills a long-standing player request. This feature allows players to pose Eve and her companions for customized screenshots. New photo challenges further enhance this feature.
Accompanying Photo Mode are four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory (unlocked after completing a specific ending) to modify Tachy Mode's appearance, and a "No Ponytail" option for greater character customization. Additional improvements include lip-sync for six more languages, refined projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various smaller bug fixes for a smoother overall experience.
