Valheim's Wandering Merchants: Locations and Inventory

Valheim's challenge lies in exploring diverse biomes and gathering resources to conquer bosses. The game offers respite through its merchants, each providing valuable goods to ease your journey. However, their locations are procedurally generated, making them difficult to find. This guide reveals the whereabouts and inventory of each merchant.

Finding Haldor (Black Forest Merchant)

Haldor, often the easiest to locate, spawns within a 1500m radius of the world's center. He resides in the Black Forest, accessible relatively early in the game.

He's frequently found near The Elder's spawn point (often indicated by glowing ruins in Burial Chambers). However, for a quicker search, use the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) to pinpoint his coordinates using your world seed. Once found, Haldor remains in that spot, making a portal highly recommended. Trade with him using gold, easily obtained by exploring dungeons and selling gems (Rubies, Amber Pearls, Silver Necklaces, etc.).

Finding Hildir (Meadows Merchant)

Hildir, located in the Meadows, is harder to find than Haldor due to her distant spawn from the world center (3000-5100m radius, approximately 1000m between spawn points).

The Valheim World Generator provides the quickest solution. Alternatively, search Meadows within the specified radius. A T-shirt icon appears on the map when you're 300-400m away. Build a portal for easy access after finding her.

Hildir offers clothing with various buffs and unique quests. These quests involve retrieving her lost chests from dungeons in different biomes:

• Smouldering Tombs (Black Forest)
• Howling Caverns (Mountains)
• Sealed Towers (Plains)

Each completed quest unlocks new items in her shop.

Finding the Bog Witch (Swamp Merchant)

The Bog Witch, found in the Swamp biome (3000-8000m from the world center, 1000m between spawn points), is the most challenging merchant to locate. Consider using the Valheim World Generator or look for her Cauldron icon on the map.

She's a friendly Greydwarf with a magical Kvastur, offering a comfort level 3 in her hut. Her inventory includes ingredients for new foods and meads.
