Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2: A DRM-Free Experience
No Microtransactions, Either
In a recent FAQ, Saber Interactive clarified several aspects of the upcoming game, launching September 9th. The absence of DRM was confirmed early on, addressing player concerns about performance impacts often associated with such software. While DRM aims to prevent piracy, its effects on gameplay have been a source of contention among gamers.
Although DRM is absent, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will utilize Easy Anti-Cheat on PC. Easy Anti-Cheat has faced scrutiny in the past, notably in relation to an Apex Legends hacking incident.
Currently, official mod support is not planned. However, the game boasts several exciting features to compensate, including a PvP arena, horde mode, and a comprehensive photo mode. Saber Interactive reassures players that all gameplay content will be free, with microtransactions and paid DLC restricted to cosmetic items only.
