Mecha BREAK May Unlock All Starting Mechs Following Player Feedback

Author : Nicholas Update:Apr 16,2025

Following the successful open beta of Mecha BREAK on Steam, which concluded on March 16, the game has seen a significant surge in popularity, peaking at over 300,000 players and securing its place as the 5th most wishlisted game on the platform. The developers at Chinese studio Amazing Seasun have taken note of the valuable feedback from the community, particularly focusing on the initial availability of Break Strikers (Mechs) and the customization options for competitive 3v3 and 6v6 modes.

In response to player feedback, Amazing Seasun is contemplating a significant shift in their game design by considering making all starting mechs available to players from the outset. This potential change aims to address the current system where players start with access to only one Break Striker and must engage in numerous multiplayer matches to earn enough in-game currency to unlock the remaining 12 Break Strikers. This grind can be time-consuming and may deter some players from fully experiencing the diverse range of mechs the game has to offer.

While the developers are open to these changes, they have yet to commit fully, emphasizing that a live service model is crucial for the game's launch and long-term sustainability. This model is seen as a way to continuously evolve the game based on player feedback and market trends.
