"Days Gone Remastered: Now with Adjustable Game Speed"

Author : Mila Update:May 14,2025

The release of Days Gone Remastered is on the horizon, and Sony's Bend Studio has recently shed light on some of the exciting accessibility features that will be part of this updated version. One standout feature is the ability to adjust Game Speed, allowing players to slow down the action when things get intense. This option can be set to 100%, 75%, 50%, or even 25% of the normal speed, catering to those who might find high-pressure situations challenging.

In a recent PlayStation Blog post, Kevin McAllister, the Creative & Product Lead at Bend Studio, detailed the various accessibility enhancements coming to Days Gone Remastered. He emphasized that the Game Speed feature is particularly beneficial for players who feel overwhelmed during encounters with hordes of Freakers. With the introduction of the new Horde Assault mode in the remaster, this adjustment aims to make the unique combat experience more accessible.

Beyond Game Speed, Days Gone Remastered will also include a range of other accessibility options such as customizable subtitle colors, a High Contrast Mode, UI Narration, and Collectible Audio Cues. Additionally, the auto-complete QTE feature, which was previously limited to Easy difficulty, will now be available across all difficulty settings, from Easy to Survival II.

Bend Studio has also confirmed that most of these new accessibility features will be rolled out to the PC version of Days Gone. However, some features like feedback and control customization will require a compatible controller to function properly.

Days Gone Remastered was announced in February, promising not only enhanced accessibility but also new gameplay modes like an improved photo mode, permadeath, and speedrun options. This remastered version of the 2019 post-apocalyptic zombie action-adventure game, centered around a biker protagonist, is set to launch on April 25, 2025. Players who own the PS4 version will have the option to upgrade to the PS5 remastered version for just $10.
