Valve's back from their New Year break, and developers are rolling out patches across their various games. Following Deadlock's shift away from bi-weekly updates, we anticipated a hefty patch. However, Valve opted for a smaller, gentler start to the year.
This initial patch focused solely on Yamato, implementing a minor nerf. The damage scaling and attack speed bonus from Shadow Transformation's first level were reduced. Further adjustments weakened Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot, while Alchemical Fire received a slight rework.

A more substantial patch is likely on the horizon, though predicting its arrival is currently impossible.
Deadlock has experienced a notable player base decrease recently, perhaps due to the popularity of Marvel Rivals. Despite this, a consistent 7,000–19,000 concurrent players isn't bad for a game still in deep beta. Remember, Valve hasn't yet revealed release dates or monetization plans.
