Capcom has rolled out Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, bringing crucial improvements and fixes to enhance the gaming experience. This update focuses on removing various progression blockers and addressing numerous bugs, although it does not include performance enhancements as detailed in the patch notes below.
Despite its record-breaking launch, Monster Hunter Wilds currently holds a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, primarily due to performance issues on PC. However, the game's success is undeniable, having sold an impressive 8 million copies within just three days, making it the fastest-selling Capcom game ever. It also achieved the fifth highest concurrent player count on Steam, peaking at 1,384,608 players, surpassing the peaks of Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. In comparison, Monster Hunter: World reached a peak of 334,684 players.
Looking ahead, a title update for Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled for early April, promising to introduce a new endgame area for gathering and additional monster hunting content.
